Mages

Mages are, well, mages. There really isn't much of a simple description that will do them justice other than to say when it comes to magic, talk to a mage. Mages tend to flit from one side of the world to the other with their teleports, chock full of nervous energy. When you can manage to corner one, you'd better watch out for their powerful attack spells. When a mage manages to corner you, you'd better watch out for one of their singalongs. Mundane is never a word you'll hear about mages, but you will also rarely see one that thinks he has enough armor or weapons. Despite their powers, Mages are severely restricted in the types of armaments they can use. The spells are their life, and that's usually enough.

The Mage Guild makes its home in the northwest section of Farcaern, near magical bazaars and stranger sights.

Mages tend to be the brightest, intelligence wise, but sometimes tend to lack a certain physical fortitude. They are usually quick at the sleight of hand, and usually running to the pub to replace ever short spell points.

General Summary:

Mages are a little tougher to play at low levels but eventually, they make excellent characters. Once a mage approaches level 20 or so, his life gets easier, as he finally begins to mature and learn the more powerful spells. Mages are also very suited to player-killing type combat. The major minus to playing a mage is that they get very few hit points, and must be played carefully.
